Alors qu&#8217;il enregistrait une nouvelle chanson, &#8220;When This Old World Is Done with Me&#8221; (Quand ce vieux monde en aura fini avec moi) Elton a fondu en larmes \u00e0 l&#8217;id\u00e9e qu&#8217;il fera un jour ses adieux \u00e0 ses deux fils, Zachary Jackson, 14 ans, et Elijah Joseph, 12 ans, ainsi que son mari David Furnish. <BR><br \/>\nIl a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 au micro du podcast \u00ab Smartless : &#8220;J&#8217;ai \u00e9crit une chanson \u00e0 la fin de l&#8217;album et j&#8217;ai re\u00e7u les paroles, celles de Bernie Taupin, intitul\u00e9es &#8216;When This Old World Is Done With Me&#8217;. J&#8217;\u00e9cris le couplet en me disant : &#8216;Oh, c&#8217;est vraiment joli&#8217;. Et puis j&#8217;arrive au refrain et bien s\u00fbr, \u00e7a parle de ma mort. Quand on arrive \u00e0 mon \u00e2ge, pr\u00e8s de 100 ans, on se dit : &#8220;Combien de temps me reste-t-il ?&#8221; Et quand on a des enfants, un mari merveilleux, on pense \u00e0 la mortalit\u00e9.
