Son avocat l&#8217;a cependant  inform\u00e9 qu&#8217;il devait officialiser l\u00e9galement ce sobriquet s&#8217;il voulait l&#8217;utiliser \u00e0 des fins professionnelles.<BR><br \/>\nAvant qu&#8217;il ne puisse le faire, John a d\u00e9couvert qu&#8217;il existait quelqu&#8217;un d&#8217;autre avec un nom similaire dans l\u2019industrie des films pour adultes. <BR><br \/>\nS&#8217;exprimant dans Word+Music, il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u201cEt voil\u00e0 qu&#8217;il y a un producteur de films pornographiques &#8211; je ne plaisante pas &#8211; un producteur de films pornographiques qui s&#8217;adonnait \u00e0 la musique, et qui se faisait appeler Johnny Legend\u2026 Le fait qu&#8217;il fasse de la musique, de la musique rockabilly, et qu&#8217;il s&#8217;appelle Johnny Legend, signifiait qu&#8217;il y avait un risque de violation de marque d\u00e9pos\u00e9e.\u201d<BR><br \/>\nLe chanteur a toutefois r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 conclure un accord avec le principal int\u00e9ress\u00e9.<BR><br \/>\n\u201cNous avons d\u00fb trouver Johnny Legend, n\u00e9gocier avec lui et conclure un accord mutuellement exclusif stipulant qu&#8217;il \u00e9tait Johnny Legend et que j&#8217;\u00e9tais John Legend&#8221; raconte la star. &#8220;Il ne me poursuivrait pas en justice. Je ne le poursuivrais pas en justice. Il n&#8217;essaierait pas de se lancer dans la musique soul en se faisant passer pour John Legend. Et je suis heureux de pr\u00e9ciser que j&#8217;ai respect\u00e9 ma part du contrat.
